This Spring break I am heading to Hawaii with Jeff and his family and I could not be more excited. My own mother is going to Kaui the week before me, because she’s been to Hawaii with me before and she’s learned that relaxing beach getaways are much more relaxing without me, I guess Jeff hasn’t learned that yet. While my trip is still a few weeks away I can’t help but find myself day dreaming about the warm sun (Seattle won’t see sun until mid July), turquoise water (although I’ll be content viewing it from my towel on the sand) and delicious blended beverages (smoothies, bellinis, milkshakes, need I say more?). As I countdown the days until my vacation, I’ve been day dreaming about all of the cute tropical clothes I can sport on the beach. Sadly, there’s not enough money in my bank account for a whole new Spring break wardrobe, however, if there were these are the outfits I’d be sporting-
My dream is to swim with a dolphin. I LOVE dolphins. They’re smart, they’re friendly, they make cute little throat noises and you can kiss them. Oh they’re also Tri Delta’s mascot which is pretty cool too. The first thing I did when Jeff invited me on vacation with his family was research where I could shell out a few hundred dollars and swim with a baby dolphin. To my dismay I found out that Kauai is the only Hawaiian island not milking the dolphin gold mine for all it’s worth. So I guess I’m going to have to go find a wild dolphin to kiss. Since swimming in the water is pretty much torture (unless someone’s willing to play mermaids with me of course) I have a feeling finding my dolphin is going to be a bit of a challenge. Wish me luck!
