My go-to daily look is one part girly, one part classic and one part functional. I like to add bits of whimsy into my outfit with something little like a pair of unicorn studs or a pair of statement shoes just to keep things interesting and fun. The booties I’m wearing here have the sweetest bows on the back that feel feminine and fun without being too childish.
I’ll admit, during undergrad I stumbled into class with a messy bun and Lululemon head to toe more times than I’d like to admit. While I have never been the girl to rock athleisure every day (no hate at all, it’s just not me) I do fall back on leggings and an oversized sweater when I need a few extra minutes of sleep or an extra cozy ensemble. However, most days I opt for attire that feels both pulled together and comfortable. Now that I’m in law school I feel like I should focus a bit more on looking pulled together. After three years in the working world I feel fortunate that I can wear jeans or leggings whenever I feel like it, but I’ve tried not to abuse the privilege as I’m certain it won’t last forever. Typically a sweater and skirt or cashmere and jeans makes me feel like I tried without sacrificing that “actually an adult” demeanor we all strive for.
I’ve always, ALWAYS loved boots and booties, but my obsession has grown this fall. I was invited to the grand opening of Saks off 5th in Seattle (so good guys) and stumbled upon a pair of Kate Spade bow booties at a great price. I can’t find the exact same booties online but I do recommend checking out the Saks off 5th shoe department, there were so many cute, stylish shoes at the Seattle store. I have to keep myself from going into the store too often because I can’t leave without buying something.
I’m a mini skirt girl through and through, the shorter the better if you ask me (well…to an extent, haha). After undergrad I did my best to segregate my super short skirts to one section of my wardrobe (aka weekend wear) and pick up a few pencil skirts and “longer than finger tip length” skirts for work and now for class. This vegan leather option hits just above the knee making it flirty enough for date night but long enough to wear to class or with tights to less conservative offices. I am dying for a black leather pencil skirt, if you see a great one while you’re shopping please send the information my way!
I truly hate the cold. After October 31st, I am ready for summer to start again. I’ll take a month of fall, Christmas and 10.5 months of summer pretty please! Even my pup, Pierre, is bundled up for the winter, he is hairless after all. It’s a really busy week for me. I take my Contracts final today and have an extensive take home final for Civil Procedure due on Friday. I am stressing trying to do my very best, any positive energy sent my way is greatly appreciated. My last final is next Monday, then I’m free to enjoy the holidays, I have so many fun plans just around the corner, I truly cannot wait to celebrate with friends and family. Wishing you a lovely Tuesday<3
