Brr! Are you cold? Stepping inside after a coffee run this morning it took me nearly an hour to fully “de-thaw”. Seattle went from pre-fall weather (sunny and 60 degrees) to straight up winter over night. Friday midday it started snowing and although the snow didn’t stick around the chilly weather lasted through the weekend. I pulled out my softest cashmere sweater and a down vest to grab coffee this morning but could have used an extra layer and some mittens! I am not the biggest fan of cold, winter weather. I much prefer frolicking around in the sunshine in a bikini to layering on chunky wool sweaters and thick, ribbed tights. Despite my protests, winter is coming, and I’ve vowed to make the most of every season life has to offer (literally & figuratively).
One of my favorite ways to savor the cold months ahead? Embracing pajama-like oversized sweaters and soft-as-blanket cashmere pieces. Anything super soft is a winner in my book! I like throwing on a sweater with a mini skirt, with jeans and booties or with leggings for a lazy day at home or studying at a coffee shop. There are plenty of sweater trends out there right now (lace up, ruffles, bell sleeves) and trust me I like to play with trends but my favorite sweater style has to be a classic, chunky turtleneck (like #2 on my list). Yes please!
One| Tie Hem Sweater– Trendy & oh-so-cozy, this sweater comes in six colors and is under $50.
Two| Cable Knit Pullover– Currently 40% off and would look adorable layered over leggings with cute boots.
Three| Off the Shoulder Cashmere-Can’t decide if I want this OTS cashmere in gray or cream…can I have both?
Four| Feleesha Sweater– A bit of a splurge, this cream ruffled sweater is what winter dreams are made of.
Five| Ruffle Neck Turtleneck-This merino & cashmere blend is seriously soft without cashmere’s hefty price tag.
Six| Bow Cashmere Sweater– The bows up the back of this sweater could NOT be cuter, currently 20% off!
Seven| Ruffle Cold Shoulder Sweater– I don’t usually gravitate towards the cold shoulder trend but this sweater is so feminine and with the ribbed texture is ultra-flattering.
Eight| Tie Cuff Sweater Dress– Worn solo or with tights/leggings this sweater dress can be dressed up for a holiday party or dressed down for a cozy weekend at home.
I’m not the only one who dreams of a closet full of cashmere right? Where is your favorite place to stock up on cozy sweaters for the winter? Is it cold yet where you live? I’m still in total disbelief that we are in November.
P.S. If you’re still on the fence about Rent the Runway Unlimited (my full review here) I recently rented this gorgeous coral cashmere and I do NOT want to return it. Get your first month of RTR Unlimited for $30 off using my link.
