Happy Friday! This week has certainly been a busy one. I feel like I’ve been running non stop since Sunday (ironically I haven’t made it to the gym once this week). My Aunt and Uncle just bought a house in Seattle so I have tried to spend as much time with them as possible before they head back to California. I still can’t get over that two of my favorite people will be living part time just ten minutes away. This weekend shows no signs of slowing down but I am excited to finally get my new apartment organized and enjoy a few outings with friends. I’m hoping to put together an Easter basket for Jordan today after work, if you have any suggestions for what to add in I’d love to hear!
I’m not normally one to round up links I’ve loved from around the web. I read a lot of wonderful blog posts but if something moves me I usually just share it on social media. Over the past week I was particularly excited by a handful of posts and thought “Why not share a little weekend reading?”
Dana’s post on The Importance of Sunscreen and getting your skin checked is a very important reminder. I scheduled my first dermatology appointment to have my skin checked largely because of A Little Seersucker Sass.
Consumerism in the U.S. is pretty whack-as much as I love a trend (and secretly lust for a new wardrobe each season) it’s important to think critically about the way we buy. Fashion blogger and historian, Ashley, shared a great post on Conscientious Consumerism.
I was so flattered to be featured in Kristine’s “Bloggers Who Inspire” series. Check out my post here.
I’ve been “scolded” for mixing black & navy a time or two but I’m a firm believer that the only real rule in fashion is that there aren’t any rules! I really loved this post about Mixing Black & Navy seamlessly. Isn’t Leigha the cutest?
Taylor is hilarious and her Jazzercise “fan fiction” does not disappoint. If you’re not giggling throughout the whole thing there’s something wrong with you.
My Tory Burch work tote is completely falling apart. After a couple years of stuffing it to the brim with books, my laptop, my lunch bag and planner I am ready for a new everyday tote. The Louis Vuitton Neverfull caught my eye (specifically the coloring Caitlin has). The bag is a huge splurge but I’m hoping the timeless print will mean I can carry the tote stuffed with all of my school, work and gym belongings for years to come. The review on Southern Curls & Pearls only made me more interested!
Be sure to let me know if you have read any great posts this week or if you liked any of the posts I shared. Have a wonderful Easter weekend. If you’re celebrating I hope you’re surrounded by the love of friends and family, if you’re not-well I hope you’re surrounded by love too <3
