As the days get longer and sunnier I can’t help but feel my mood transform with the season. I don’t want to self diagnose but I am definitely affected by the dreary gray days that Seattle is known for. I’d be lying if I said I haven’t considered packing up all of my belongings and heading South to California in the past. A big portion of my family lives in Napa Valley and I’m obviously tempted by the warmer weather-but the siren’s call of Seattle always lures me back in when the sun shines and the flowers bloom. Seattle is truly gorgeous in the sunshine with Lake Union sparkling just steps away from my front door and the skyline shimmering in the sunshine. Aside from more long walks, weekend trips browsing the local farmer’s market, a happier disposition and more energy each day I have a few to dos I want to check off of my list before beginning law school at the end of June.
1. Make an Easter Basket
2. Go Hiking!
3. Take another load of Boxes to Goodwill
4. Have a Picnic
5. Make the Bed every Morning
6. Host a Dinner Party
7. Read (or listen to) one Book a Week.
8. Make a Unicorn Latte
9. Sell my Car.
10. Take a Weekend Trip (or two)
The cherry blossoms at the University of Washington are always on my “must visit” list for early spring. Frolicking through the new blossoms always gives me so much energy and optimism. This year my friend Nicole and I visited the cherry blossoms on a Friday afternoon and found the quad filled with hundreds of people-the trees really are a magically pink sight to behold. Cherry blossoms always remind me of a real life version of a fantastical fairy land.
Do you have any goals or must dos for this spring?
