Happy April 4th! I hope you spent the first weekend of the new month soaking up the sunshine or splashing in puddles! With spring flowers in full bloom I can’t be outdoors enough right now (though I wouldn’t mind warmer weather). My weekend was filled with work (on Saturday with Jordan, on Sunday for my job) but I did manage to take a few great walks with Pierre and Jordan.
For the month April I’m not overly ambitious, since I am taking a big trip my main goal revolves around making the most of my travels.
One| Send Snail Mail
I adore sending and receiving cute cards and letters (at one point I sent dozens of letters to Pen Pals I found through The Fairy Princess Diaries). While I definitely don’t have the extra time to send dozens of letters this month I would like to send a handful of thoughtful cards to family and friends I’m not able to see on a daily basis. I love picking the perfect stationary and knowing it will brighten someone’s day in a small way.
Two| Workout Three or More days a week.
I plan to put my gym membership to good use by hitting the gym three or more days each week. I am so much happier and more energetic when I set aside time to care for my body.
Three| Savor every Moment in Paris.
I could devote an entire post to my checklist for places to go and things to see (and macaroons to eat) in Paris. I don’t want to bore you though. My goal is not to let any portion of traveling overstress me and to make sure I fully enjoy my girls’ trip with my cousin.
Four| Clean out my Car.
I am notorious for leaving my car in complete disarray. Though I clean out random trash every time I get gas, my car needs a serious deep clean (internal and external) and I always put it off. This month I’m forcing myself to get to a car wash and spend an hour or two creating a clean space.
Five| Stay on top of Class work while Traveling.
Though I am traveling to Paris for 10 days I don’t have a break from my online classes. It is important to me that I work ahead (and of course on the long international flight) to stay on top of my courses while still allowing myself to relax and explore Paris. I have pretty substantial final projects on my plate which means staying organized and avoiding procrastination.
Do you have any goals for April? Did you achieve any big goals in March? If you made a New Year’s resolution how are you making progress?
