Working in bridal I’m constantly surrounded by giddy brides-to-be. It’s a fun industry to be in, despite the occasional overly stressed out bride, for the most part every one is happy. Glowing brides enter the shop gushing about their fiances, wedding plans and honeymoon destinations. I’ve witnessed a few cute moments from brides asking their besties to be bridesmaids, to a bride’s sister who saved a bottle of champagne from her wedding to toast with when the bride found the dress, to brides happy dancing (and sometimes tearing up) when they find the right dress. It always makes my day to witness these celebratory moments and feel like I get to be the fly on the wall witnessing positive memories in the making.
One thing is for certain, weddings are time consuming! There are engagement parties, bachelorette parties, bridal showers, rehearsal dinners and let’s not forget the actual day. Lucky brides are often showered with gifts from friends and family meaning it can sometimes be difficult to decide on a piece that stands out. Aside from the traditional lingerie, there are an array of other “bride” themed gifts that make fabulous bridal shower (or just because) gifts.
Wifey for Lifey Sandals| These Sophia Webster sandals are a great splurge for the quirky, fun bride with a tropical honeymoon on the horizon. She’ll want to frolic around in a funky patterned bikini with these statement sandals long after the honeymoon is over.
Kate Spade “I Do” Necklace or “Mrs” Necklace| These sweet necklaces are simple enough to fit a range of tastes. Romantic, preppy brides are sure to swoon at the delicate cursive Kate Spade pieces (bonus they’re great for layering with longer necklaces too).
Victoria’s Secret “Better Half” Tank| This sassy tank top is perfect as a cozy sleep shirt or for hitting the gym. Even brides that don’t love flaunting their relationship status can curl up on a lazy day and wear it with yoga pants around the house.
Custom Sequin Wedding Hanger| The Pinterest loving bride will thank you for your close attention to detail. Have her use the hanger to display her dress for photos on her special day or as a great piece for her closet every day.
Married AF Tee| If your bride is a little sassy this tee is sure to charm her. She’ll not only be cracking up when she opens the gift but she’ll be anxious to finally wear this tee after the wedding day.
Kate Spade “With this Ring” Dish| Another Kate Spade charmer, this trinket dish is lovely on a nightstand, dresser or bedside table for placing her beloved ring before bed.
Custom Couple Watercolor| Surprise the Bride and Groom by recreating one of their favorite photos (or engagement portraits) in watercolor. A painting of the happy pair is unique and thoughtful, they’re sure to display the piece proudly for years to come.
Bridal Bar Necklace| Fashionable brides will love the turquoise and gold layered bar necklaces. “Mrs” is inscribed delicately so the piece can be worn without seeming too kitschy.
Custom Name Stamp or Stationary| Practical, thoughtful brides will appreciate a custom stamp or stationary set. New couples often receive thousands of dollars worth of gifts from family and friends, a custom stamp adds a nice touch to Thank You card envelopes, while a new monogrammed stationary set is ideal for sending letters and Thank Yous to friends and relatives.
