When it comes to shopping I’m either the manic lady running around the mall maxing out her credit card and tripping over her bags or I refuse to buy anything (and break the seal) out of the very real fear I’ll revert back to woman number one. Though I’m hoping I’ll be able to strike a balance and just shop like a normal human (someday) for now I’m just practicing being the more money cautious version of myself because…my cousin and I are hoping to take a girl’s vacay to Paris in the Spring.
As for now I’ll be shopping vicariously through this blog so I can save a little money to shop like a wild woman on the streets of Paris (although I will have to buy a few chic outfits for my trip right…?).
I adore pieces with a bit of quirky character. A few years ago I stumbled upon a pair of Marc Jacobs mouse flats at a consignment shop, I was a super broke college student and knew I couldn’t pass up the chance to own a pair of shoes I’d been coveting for so long. Statement shoes are worth it! Shoes are one of the items I feel are actually worth splurging on. Not only do quality shoes feel better and last longer but they generally look cuter too (not to say I don’t get compliments on my Target booties ALL the time). When I have the ability, I believe in investing in shoes. Quirky, statement shoes like the ones I’m featuring today are both fashion forward and funky enough to stay relevant. While my trendy pointed toe flats will go out of style, pieces with tons of character always feel fun (even if they aren’t relevant).
Quirky Statement Shoes I’d do ANYTHING to have in my Closet:
One| These iconic Sophia Webster heels are simply heavenly. Part gracefully majestic butterfly, part fiercely sexy Victoria’s Secret Angel, I am determined to add a pair of these gorgeous heels to my shoe collection one day.
Two| Charlotte Olympia is purrfect in pawsitively every way. These flats are chic enough to be a wardrobe staple but funky enough to add a bit of sass to every look.
Three| Another Sophia Webster favorite in a softer, I-have-to-be-on-my-feet-all-day friendly version. Correct me if I’m way off here but…in my imagination princesses are constantly frolicking about wearing flats like this for their daily activities.
Four| Kate Spade nailed it with the Taxi flats every city girl has been eyeing! The sparkly version adds even more pizazz for a night out with the girls or a playful first date.
Five| Who knew shoes could be so flirty?! The Flirting eyes Chiara Ferragni flats are a statement piece for any girly-girl fashionista. I’ll take a pair in each color please!
Six| Calling all Textaholics and social media addicts! These Betsey Johnson emoji flats are filled with personality and charisma. Worn with a mini and sparkly headband these shoes are bound to get you loads of compliments.
Seven| Perfect for all the fifth birthday parties you’ll be attending this year, these present-inspired bow heels are sure to be a hit. A little bit girly and a little bit “I can beat you in a cartwheel competition”, I can imagine the thicker heel makes these pretty pieces quite walk-able.
