It’s no secret that I love dresses. I am a pretty big girly-girl so I live in dresses (and skirts) year round. I love flowy boho dresses, I love edgier dresses for going out and I love over the top frilly dresses that emulate the tutus I wore at age five. Give me a dress and a pair of riding boots and I’ll feel stylish and content 85% of the year (I’ll take sandals for summer please).
This season is all about seventies vibes and I can’t get enough of the lace up, fringe and suede. Boho meets seventies is such a fun style that I think totally meshes well with my personal style. I’ve featured a few dresses from SheIn before (here and here) but I want to talk a little more about the online retailer. SheIn has so many pieces at really, really reasonable prices. I am a firm believer in investing in quality (usually more expensive) staples like bags, boots, jeans, etc. and saving money on trendier fads. At SheIn basically every piece is under $50 and most dresses are under $25! My dress loving heart is swooning! I’ve put together a few of my favorite dresses for October and November, I think a few of them could even double as Halloween costumes with a few accessories (;
One: How great is this boho-esque dress for a date night? It has total Free People vibes but at just $15.99 you can grab three dresses for a fraction of the price.
Two: This lace up look is so trendy this season, I don’t have any pieces like this yet but I am dying to try out this trend. I think this dress would work well for a night out or for a Halloween costume! Add a hat or some jewelry for a witchy look.
Three: I think fringe is such a stylish statement for fall. This dress is a great daytime look for a coffee date, a girl’s day or can definitely double as a costume. How would you style this fringe dress?
Four: These fringe sleeves are so glamorously seventies. I can picture Jane Birkin rocking this dress back in the day and that makes me want it even more!
Five: I love dresses that feel cozy enough for curling up to read a book or watch a movie but look more put together than leggings and a sweatshirt. This casual sweatshirt dress is only $16.99 and is a great alternative to yoga pants.
Six: Burgundy, lace up and faux suede, this dress combines so many trends this season! I love this look for a night out or in the day with a pair of over the knee suede boots (still on my wish list).
Seven: How darling is this little sailor girl looking piece? I think this dress is both fashionable and classic.
Eight: To me this dress is the most costume-y. Wear this dress on Halloween and then dress it down for a simpler day to day look. I can imagine wearing this dress to Thanksgiving dinner with my family.
Nine: This flowy white dress is probably the most “me” of all my choices. I love white and off white dresses, I’m a big believer in wearing white all year long. I would pair his dress with brown riding boots, black tights and a few boho braids (think Barefoot Blonde hair if you follow her). I would wear this dress to the farmer’s market and feel like a boho chic goddess!
What do you think of my SheIn dress choices for Fall? Which is your favorite? Do you have any ideas for turning these looks into a costume?
Have a great weekend blog-friend babes! Do you have any fabulous plans? I want to hear all about them. I’m thinking of going to a James Bond themed cocktail party but still don’t know what to wear. Follow me on Instagram & Snapchat (fairyprincessj) to follow along.
