This past Sunday was the perfect fall day, the air was crisp, the sun was shining and most people were busy watching football so Pike Place Market wasn’t too busy. Though the year-round outdoor farmer’s market is often jam packed, I love visiting fairly often. Jordan introduced me to the most delicious “hole-in-the-wall” spot for salmon and I can never resist stocking up on the inexpensive bouquets.
Though a little gritty, the gum wall is a must see for tourists in the city. I am always super grossed out walking through the alley. I can’t help but imagine all of the saliva! I’ve grown up in the Seattle area so I don’t think much about the attractions I’ve seen all my life, however, I am occasionally struck by how grungy and gritty this particular area is. I personally haven’t added to the gum wall yet…I have trouble getting close enough to actually stick a piece on!
After picking up the most gorgeous flowers at Pike Place we walked down to try and catch the water taxi to West Seattle. Sadly, we missed the boat so we ended up taking Uber (after buying our tickets). I absoloutely adore sunny Sundays in Seattle. Frolicking through Pike Place, walking Pierre in the park, cartwheeling and sampling delicious food at a local farmer’s market…I was made for Sundays!
One of my favorite parts about Sunday is the carefree, cozy vibe. I prefer to roll out of bed, throw on a girly dress and not spend too much time fussing with my hair and makeup (#EmbraceBedhead). SheIn recently sent me this adorable long sleeve embroidered lace dress as a gift. I love that the dress feels feminine and fun yet sophisticated at the same time. I chose to dress the look down with booties and messy hair for a bit of a boho look. I can’t wait to wear this dress with a blowout, nude flats and a quilted bag for a more polished aesthetic.
Wearing my SheIn dress out and about on Sunday I received SO many compliments (on the ferry dock, at the market, in the grocery store, etc). I already loved the dress but all the compliments gave me that extra little boost of confidence. Compliment after compliment on a dress that is under $35? I call that winning! SheIn is a great site for looking trendy on a budget. A few of my favorite fall pieces are this wine red long sleeve floral dress, this long sleeve lace up bodycon (totally reminds me of my stylish friend Claire which makes me want it even more) and this white long sleeve v-neck ruffle dress. SheIn offers more than just dresses, I’m just a super girly-girl who prefers a dress 99% of the time!
What is your Sunday style? How do you spend your ideal Sunday?
It’s Tuesday! Don’t forget to link-up with Kristin and I for Tutu Tuesday. We’re embracing femininity, but you can post about anything, the goal is to make new blogger friends!
