Happy first day of July everyone! It feels so good to start off the morning with a quick run, a yummy mocha and some goal setting. I was fairly successful on my June goals so I decided to share my monthly goals with the blogging world once more to try and keep myself accountable.
1. Finish building our dining room table.
Jordan and I bought an old window we will be refinishing and fashioning into a shabby-chic-esque dining room table. We have almost all of the supplies but we haven’t even started yet. I’m hoping my intentional goal setting will encourage me to work on it.
2. Set up my “Home Office” for productivity.
Right now my desk is a vanity/office space/mess of whatever clutter I have laying around. In order to create a clean and useful space to work at home I need to do some reorganizing. It shouldn’t be a difficult task but there is definitely a need for some shelving and desktop organizers if I want to maximize productivity.
3. Run 2 Races!
To continue my goal of running 12 races in 12 months my goal is to run 2 more races this month which will put me at 7 races total (well on my way to my goal!)
4. Wear Sunscreen every single day.
The past few years I have been focused on really treating my skin better (but I am still not perfect). I am outside pretty much every free moment I have in summer so I really need to focus on slathering on the spf.
5. Play Tennis 5 more times!
I didn’t quite reach my goal of playing tennis 5 times last month but I played so I’m still happy. This month I am aiming to play tennis more often and (hopefully) improve so I am a little less embarrassing.
6. Do a bridge every day.
This sounds like a silly goal but I have noticed my back has been more agitated lately. I want to make a conscious effort to stretch a bit every day and maintain my flexibility.
7. Participate in Helene’s #31PhotosInBetween instagram challenge.
The past few months I have been ALL about instagram challenges and I have found they really encourage me to think creatively and aesthetically each day. I loved Helene’s #30PhotosInBetween so I am very excited to participate for the month of July.
8. Read at least 2 career development books.
I’ve already ordered a billion (okay slight exaggeration) personal and career development books on Amazon so now I just need to set aside a little bit of time to read them. A few of the books on my list are: Leave Your Mark, My So Called Freelance Life, and Quiet. Do you have any book suggestions for me?
9. Run 20 days!
Realistically I can’t run every single day of the month (nor do I want to) but I have found that when I set aside time each day for cardio I am less stressed and much more pleasant to be around. Plus I love eating ice cream (every single night…shhh) so running is a must for me.
10. Surprise someone!
I don’t have anything in mind for this one yet but how sweet is it to surprise someone you care about for no reason at all? If you have any cute suggestions to surprise a loved one let me know! I’m definitely open to suggestions.

I believe the first step to achieving your goals and dreams is making them intentional (which for me means writing them down and holding myself accountable). Before I completely move on into full fledged “July Mode” I want to take a minute to thank everyone who participated in J’Adore June with Kristin and I. I was really nervous to host my first instagram challenge but everyone was so sweet I am so glad I didn’t let my nerves hold me back. Everyone who participated blew me away and I am truly thankful I was able to meet so many sweet girls through this strange-lovely world of social media.
