Though today’s forecast products gray skies and showers (surprise Seattle) the Pacific Northwest has been dabbling in sunshine. Even though many spring days start out sunny only to shift to gray just a few hours later begining the day with sunlight streaming in the window inarguably makes my day exponentially better. Whether it is seasonally appropriate or not I’ve adopted my spring and summer wardrobe even though the weather isn’t exactly cooperating 100% of the time. I love spring dresses, rompers (since writing this post I’ve acquired four #addicted), wedges and raincoats. Flipping through magazines recently I’ve been drawn to espadrilles (light canvas shoes with a plaited fiber sole). The shoes just scream warm weather and cartwheeling in the sunshine (I can literally hear them screaming it) and it really feels wrong that I don’t have a pair to slip on before running to Greenlake to grab fro-yo and frolic through fields of daisies. A pair of these cute kicks would put a little extra spring in my step don’t you think?
Though I have more bags than I can fit in my closet I’m always looking to acquire more. Tory Burch released some beautiful prints recently and I can’t help but day dream about running around with these totes filled to the brim with sunscreen, a beach towel and a good book (right now I’m reading “The Handmaid’s Tale” and can hardly put it down).
What do you think is the shoe of the season? Have you broken out all of yor spring and summer clothes yet?
