Lately my skin has just been whoa! I have been lucky most of my life in the sense that I’ve never had much acne, an occasional pimple/zit but not much more. This summer however my skin has been driving me insane. My occasional pimple here and there has transformed to what I see as a full blown acne attack. I blame the fact that I’m on the IUD and as it nears its end time my hormone levels are drastically changing. I am not coping well physically nor emotionally. You see, I’m one of those disgusting people who takes pleasure from poking and prodding and picking. If it was socially acceptable I would pop random stranger’s zits because I just get so much joy out of it, so there you have it I’m a repulsive creature. So I’ve essentially been picking apart my face and needless to say it isn’t helping.
Today I was so fed up I decided to give myself a little mini spa treatment and guess what?! It’s working! I won’t lie my pimples are still here, although if you know any tricks to help them vanish immediately puh-lease send them my way. However it is helping, my skin just feels cleaner and less clogged up with whatever yucky gunk was camping out there before.
1. Honey Face Mask: For thorough mask instructions see this post however it is literally just a mixture of honey and cinnamon. Leave on for 20-30 minutes before rinsing with warm water.
3. ATTACK: After using my regular moisturizer I attacked all of my trouble spots head on with this Clinique spot treatment. It burns soo good!
And there you have it, my mini miracle treatment for bad skin days. Hopefully my skin will stop freaking out on me and I will look like the most dazzling perfect princess tomorrow, however, if not I am more than willing to treat myself to another mini spa day.
