Welcome to Fremont, a quirky artsy little neighborhood in Seattle, I am proud to call home. I am so in love with my little neighborhood, it is the perfect combination (for me at least) of city and neighborhood. There are lots of vintage shops, restaurants, boutiques, used bookstores and bars. In my last apartment I lived smack dab in the middle of downtown, and while the location was great when it came to shopping (hello! Just a short walk to Nordstrom, Forever 21, J.Crew and Sephora), it was a little bit too much “city” for this city girl. In other words, the neighborhood was sketchy…whenever there were stabbings or shootings or druglord fights…they were right outside of my window (literally). Boo and I are babies so the whole scenario was a little scary.
I never realized how much I would love Fremont. Not only is this part of Seattle closer to school and work but it is such a BEAUTIFUL neighborhood, especially when the sun is shining. Over the past six months I have discovered delicious restaurants, my favorite study spot and I’ve even picked favorite trees (some are just prettier than others)! My sloppy photography really doesn’t do my beautifully unique neighborhood justice, but for now it will have to do!
I hope you enjoyed my neighborhood tour! After I uploaded these photos I thought of a bunch of other photos I should have taken (of course). There is so much random art in this neighborhood I barely even capture the spirit, for example the bushes shaped like dinosaurs, the light up Rapunzel, and the “center of the universe sign” pointing in all different directions to all different destinations (the louvre, Rapunzel, Taiwan, the milky way, etc) are all not picture, and they should be. My bad.
Hands down this neighborhood is my favorite place I have ever lived in my life! How do you feel about your neighborhood? Do you have favorite spots?
