This weekend reminded me of how incredibly grateful I am for my best friends. I’m thankful to have someone I can drink mimosas with & lay in bed talking to&laughing with over basically nothing until late into the night. I’m thankful to have people who are just as crazy, obsessive and indecisive as I am, to remind me that I’m not 100% insane. I’m thankful to have someone to spend hours with me shopping for a birthday dress (despite my ridiculously high standards). I’m thankful to have someone to plan study dates with & a partner in crime to dress as twins with for frat parties (hello matching tops, leather bottoms & coordinating underwear). I’m thankful for friends who will share an entire pizza with me friday night&for the friends who will go to kickboxing&spin with me early Saturday morning. And mostly I’m thankful for friends who will listen to my pointless drama, my joys and my despairs over&over again. What would we do without best friends?
From truth or dare (which, I’ve noted is much different at college parties than at my fifth grade sleepovers), to laying in bed cracking up over the uproar over this girl’s blog post (I mean…really?!), to flailing around my uncoordinated awkward body at kickboxing class, to a Disney Princess themed Cards Against Humanity Party (I was Elsa from Frozen), I’d say it was a pretty successful weekend. You know your weekend was filled with way too much fun when it’s Sunday morning and you’re completely overwhelmed with the amount of homework you need to catch up on. So even though the majority of my day today was spent in staring at my laptop and guzzling coffee, it was by all means worth it.
Now it’s time for me to allow Blair’s sassy scheming lure me into a dreamland. Hopefully I don’t have anymore weirdo panic-y dreams about being late for work (I’ve been having them NON STOP and it makes it SO difficult to sleep). Did you get to spend time with your best friends this weekend? What is your favorite way to bond with your girlfriends?
