There’s nothing like a weekend that reminds you how incredibly ordinary you are, let me rephrase that, there are A LOT of things that are probably five zillion times better but you win some you lose some right? From the world’s most uninspired Halloween costume (umm we were channeling Aria & Ezra?), to an extraordinarily average practice GRE score (my reward for devoting 4 hours of my Saturday to a standardized test) to trying out for a cheerleading team…and not making it (but I’m still sore today…that seems unfair). It certainly wasn’t a weekend for my scrapbook or anything of the memorabilia sort.
Despite a weekend of what appears to be failure after failure, it’s left me feeling a little less grumbly about Monday. A chance to start fresh and new? I’ll take it! This week is sure to be filled with excitement (that’s what I’m telling myself at least).
As always, Pinterest knows everything about everybody and knew just what sort of cheesy quotes I needed to see:
I just learned you’re not supposed to end blog posts with questions (whoops another fail) but I’m going to ask one anyways…because, you know…yolo. Have you ever felt as if failure was overtaking your life? Does failure (like bad things) come in threes? How do you use failure to build you up instead of pushing you down?
Happy Monday Peaches!
