I’ve finally decided to post pictures of my new apartment (now that I’ve been here for two weeks). It still isn’t perfect, there is ALOT of decorating that needs to be done…including hanging my pretty white canopy over the bed. Jeff has had to continuously remind me that there isn’t a reason to rush, although, if it were up to me we would have worked non stop for 72 hours straight until the whole apartment was perfect. Except that’s part of living with other people, it isn’t always up to you.
Are you ready for the fabulous and exciting tour of all 965 sq ft of my apartment??? Well too bad because there is actually one room that isn’t pictured. I chose not to photograph our roommate’s bedroom while she was out and about living her life because I figured that would just be creepy/an invasion of privacy. Like I said, there are sacrifices you have to be willing to make when you live with other people.
Oh hi! Welcome to my home! You’ve just walked in the door and this is what you see…
If you turn to your left…there’s the laundry room. Right now it is very multifunctional as a storage room so I chose to just give you a peek inside.
It’s not like pinterest in any way because I don’t have a chandelier in my laundry room or big block letters on the wall that spell out “wash” but it does have a shelf. some coat hooks and most importantly our own full size appliances so I couldn’t be happier.
Okay don’t get distracted by the wonder of the laundry room, you’re in the entry way…remember. You’ve looked straight ahead of you and you’ve looked to your left…where else is there to look but…AHA…to your right there is this little sight (just call me Dr.Seuss).
Feel free to take a closer look…I don’t mind one bit!
Okay, enough marveling at the entry way! Now it’s time to move on. The first door you come across looks like this:
The reason this picture is of a boring stupid old door is because this is my roommate’s room. It’s super adorable and has marvelous closets but guess what, you don’t get to see it…not today anyways! Maybe come visit and she’ll let you see.
Across from my roommate’s bedroom is…VOILA! The main bathroom:
I didn’t decorate it but it is cute right?
I love the shower curtain:
Let’s move on now, it’s sort of awkward if we spend too much time touring the bathroom.
This is our living room/dining room/kitchen. Isn’t it wonderful? Right now it is really plain and open and sort of blah but use your imagination you beautiful little fairytale princesses! Imagine one more couch (and get rid of the wicker chair because that’s heading to the balcony) and a coffee table and bar stools because we’d rather have more living room space than a dining room table. What do you think?
Not bad for an apartment kitchen right?! We have SO much more a) Counter space and b) Cupboard space and C) Overall space then we had before. Cooking in here is glorious, even though I’m not much of a “cooker”.
I’m not trying to brag about our stove, because it’s pretty normal I think…but the mermaid dishcloth. Can we all just take a minute to love it because I really really love it. Thank you Anthropologie!
I’d make you something to eat or offer you a glass of bubbly at this point if you were here in person because that’s what nice hosts do right?! But since we’re just looking over the internet…we’re just going to have to move on to the balcony. It’s to the left of the living room. It’s pretty much Boo’s favorite place in the entire universe and she loves spying on everyone and anyone in the neighborhood.
It’s a pretty cute little space, I didn’t have a balcony before and I didn’t realize how much I would love having an outdoor space until now that I have one. But my favorite space in the entire apartment…is obviously my bedroom (even without the canopy).
I love my bedroom, even though it has a long way to go in the decorating department but do you know what else I love…it has a bathroom attached. It makes it totally possible to me to be a hermit and never leave my room (unless I want to and for food of course).
It’s a pretty typical 1/2 bathroom or 3/4 bathroom or whatever it is. But my favorite part:
I’m trying to make the bathroom mermaid themed! I have bought several other cute mermaid accents that have yet to be hung, but I’m already feeling like I am in a mermaid grotto every time I’m in there anyways.
Thank you for joining me on my magical little tour! I hope you like the little place I call home, I love it so much!
P.S. I still haven’t downloaded ios7 or whatever. Jeff made me watch a whole video about how wonderful it was last night and I wanted to die. I hate the new texting and I don’t want it to look like that!!!
