Tuesday was Jefferson’s 24th birthday, and of course, by Jefferson, I mean Jeff…I’ve just taken to calling him by that little nickname recently. I like to think it makes him sound a little more presidential, because that’s what everyone wants their boyfriend to be…presidential.
Speaking of my boyfriend, I’m currently laying in bed watching Pretty Little Liars with him. No offense you guys but I think this is the most stupid show ever, it’s like a bad preteen version of Gossip Girl. Jeff is making me watch it, I kid you not, but nothing will ever replace Gossip Girl in my heart. It’s distracting me from important blog writing and room cleaning and trust me, it’s not worth it.
So Jeff’s birthday, on a Tuesday…how about that. I’m in college which I thought would translate into being able to stay out late and wake up early no problem. I mean I should have known better because during my three year history of being a college student this theory has never worked in my favor. Never. Wednesday mornings mean being to work by 7:45 bright and cheery eyed and ready to make school lunches and shuttle little girls through the getting ready for school routine. Wednesdays are all good and well on a full eight hours of sleep but due to my highly developed circadian rhythm…Wednesdays are awful on four hours of sleep. No amount of Starbucks in the world can cure four hours of sleep, I don’t know how people can pull all nighters…I just can’t.
With that being said, no matter how painful Wednesday was, celebrating 24 years of Jeff was totally worth it. Here’s a few pictures so you can get an idea:
As time passed the night became more and more fun despite the really really awful waitress at the second bar we stopped at. I think there comes a point where you should call it a night if you aren’t able to sleep in the next day, I think taking photos like this is a sign you’ve reached that point:
And then there was the troll. There are trolls around here, but they’re nice, unless you don’t pay for parking then they get you!
Did Jeff have a good birthday? There were certainly a lot of statues involved soo I’ll let you decide. Oh and I’d like to thank Claire for the mint green skirt I’m wearing here, because I’ve worn it pretty much once a week since freshman year when I raided it from her closet.
I hope everyone’s been having a great week!
P.S. Tuesday was also Boo’s third birthday. She was really irritated that Jeff was outshining her and she was definitely acting out for attention.
