I’m not going to admit that it’s fall yet because according to google…”Autumn Equinox” isn’t officially until September 22nd meaning I have a good week and a half of summer left. Go away pumpkin spice lattes, you’re not wanted here. However that doesn’t stop me from day dreaming about fall clothes. Growing up I always LOVED back to school and to be completely honest the main reason was because back to school meant hitting the mall and stocking up on tons of cute clothes for the upcoming school year (thanks to my wonderful grandparents mostly, they spoiled me rotten).
Well, now that I’m a grown up and technically not growing anymore (I’m still hoping for a few more inched, 5’9″ pretty please), that means the end of fall school clothes shopping, which I guess is fair considering I’m 21 years old and should be buying my own clothes (or actually not buying anymore clothes at all because my closet is overflowing…but that’s no fun). But a girl can still dream, I mean that’s what shopping online is for right, right?! I love to browse my favorite stores and stuff my online shopping baskets with clothes I would buy if I opened up my wallet and found an extra wad of cash from the magical shopping fairy or something. Thanks to polyvore here is my official fall lust list:
ONE Tory Burch Riding Boots/These boots are obviously a classic, a very expensive classic. They’re just so adorable and I’ve been in love with them for the past few years, however the price tag has been holding me back because seriously they are almost as much as my part of the rent and worth about a year of Starbucks iced mochas.
TWO Green Trench Coat/I love the idea of a fun colored trench coat like this one or this one, in Seattle, Fall means gray skies and rain rain rain so a light weight, stylish and water proof jacket is ABSOLUTELY necessary. A fun color like kelly or emerald green helps brighten up even the most gray overcast day.
THREE Oh La La Tee/Over the past year I have come to love J.Crew, I mean I’ve always sort of loved it but until reccently I always felt like way too much of a little girl to ever wear it. I love incorporating this preppy style into my “college girl” wardrobe. This “Oh La La” tee from the factory store is super girly yet practical and casual, I could see myself throwing this on with a flowy skirt or with jeans throughout the fall.
FOUR Yellow Scarf/This yellow scarf is so simple (obviously nothing fancy) but I love it. Yellow is such a fun/happy color (once again, I want to brighten up those gray days) and a bright scarf can be added to a striped tee or simple dress easily for a simple and chic fall look.
FIVE Black and White Striped Dress/Stripes are my go to pattern. They’re simple, they’re clean and they can mix and match easily. I am a huge modcloth fan and this dress is no exception. Anthropologie has an equally cute version that I also adore.
SIX Kate Spade 2 Park Avenue Beau Bag/Oh Kate, you’ve done it again. I love the versatility of this bag with a splash of sass (aka the leopard print). I’m in love with pretty much all things Kate Spade, if only this bag didn’t come with a $995 price tag.
SEVEN Sweaters/In all honesty I’m not talking specifically about the sweater pictured, although it is cute. I’m just talking about sweaters in general, I love them, and you can bet if the shopping fairy paid my bank account a visit I’d be stocking up on as many cute sweaters as I could get my little hands on. Like this one and this one and this one.
EIGHT Booties/I know I already talked about boots, but these cutie booties would also be a necessity. I’ve actually never owned booties and I think it’s about time I join the club.
And of course, the Starbucks cup doesn’t really need an explanation because yummy drinks go with every season and every outfit (just watch out and try not to spill on yourself all the time, coffee stains are the worst, I would know).
What do you think? Do you shop for fall clothes every September? What is on your lust list for the season?
